Announcing ZimFest Live 2017!

Redcliff Management is really excited to bring ZimFest back to the UK as ZimFest Live!

This year, the one-day festival celebrating Zimbabwean music and culture will be held at the Kempton Park Racecourse in Surrey on Saturday 19 August from 12 to 10:30pm. With entertainment provided by a range of musical acts, DJs and cultural performers, as well as attractions for kids, ZimFest Live is the perfect place for Zimbabweans and friends of Zimbabwe to reminisce on that unique vibe of ours; it’s also ideal for those who have never had the chance, to catch that southern African vibe first hand!

What’s in store?

This year’s headline act is Jah Prayzah, Zimbabwe’s ‘musician of the moment’ and recipient of the 2016 Listener’s Choice Award at the 2016 MTV African Music Awards. The festival will also showcase a host of other international and local performers including the Zimbabwean-based Afro-rock band, Evicted.

In addition, there will be pop-up merchandising stalls run by entrepreneurs selling their goods and services and providing an opportunity for all to make new connections. Compared to previous years, you will find an even wider range of southern African and other international culinary delights available through independent food vendors and restaurateurs catering for all taste buds. To wash all that down will be a selection of local and imported lagers, other alcoholic beverages and soft drinks on sale throughout the day.

Kempton Park Racecourse sits on over 200 acres of flat grassland surrounded by woodland and two lakes. It is located 16 miles south-west of central London, has its own train station - Kempton Park - with trains coming in from London Waterloo, and is close to Heathrow airport, making it so easy to reach by public transport or car. Wherever you live, it’s easy to join us for what promises to be a superb slice of musical and cultural heaven.
